SOX or SOA

In some company, Sarbanes Oxley usually refers as SOX and in some other as SOA. The most common usage is of course SOX, because SOA usually refer to Service Oriented Architecture. However in some of Asian company, SOA term is more popular to be used then SOX to refer to Sarbanes Oxley. The reason? Simple, SOA is simpler to be pronounce than SOX.

Beside pronunciation reason, the other reason the SOA term usage in Asian company is because the original SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) is not as pervasive as SOX implementation. So there is no barrier that every SOA is mean Sarbanes Oxley.

The others version for Sarbanes Oxley term also can be found as Sarbox, Sarbanes Ox. And still several misspelling from sabanes oxley, Sarbanes oxly, sabanes ox, or even sarrbanes oxley or sarbannes oxley.

So what’s your company jargon about SOX? Any experience. Don’t hesitate share it to us.
