Has the Sarbanes-Oxley Act been effective
The whereistand.com has a great topic about the effectiveness of Sarbanes Oxley Act implementation from the discussion i found several opinion such as:
“…I think the talk really is about repeal or substantial modification. The trouble with “effective” (as is the trouble with similarly worded issues elsewhere) is that those who advocate repeal don’t necessarily argue it’s been “ineffective.” They’d say that it’s been effective in creating a lot of work, even if its effectiveness in reducing fraud is unproven or not yet measurable…”
Actually there are a lot of pros and cons about the Sarbanes Oxley Act which have been enacted since 2002, and after more than 6 years, i guess some modification or re-alignment is must be implemented
